PROJECT STATEMENT
Don’t Wait Till March is a series of self portraits inspired by a deep dive inward. Through therapy and a lot of self-reflection, I turned the camera on myself to communicate with aspects of myself that were longing for attention. This perspective allows for a more objective view of my behavior and deepens my understanding of how I move through this world.

A moment can pass by unnoticed, but when captured in a photo it somehow becomes significant. It can capture the mood of a day, event, or period of one’s life. That is the magic of photography! Tanja Kuić is a freelance photographer in Asheville, NC, with a love of movement and theater and all the things that go along with putting on a production. She captures the beautiful, chaotic, frantic world back stage along with the magic that happens when the curtain lifts and the show begins.
