ARTIST: Jakob Æbeløe Kjøller
PROJECT: 40 HOURS
The project, is a window into the Office life, of the "IT-Guy". I portrait the office Day by day, and the people on the team I follow. Personally I take the job very serious, and day by day, I turn up at the office at 9 and leave at 5, for at least 40 hours a week. The main reason is is to care, and provide for my family, instead of actually being with my family, I see the irony in that.
My way of living as a photographer has been broad, and I have taken different things with me through life, which today gave me the ability to do what I do. I have taken pictures since I was a child, but when I was young, I chose a road that led me to a life as an IT consultant. This was not planned, but life as you would say "happened", and then I suddenly had a wife, three children and a 9-17 kind of a job. Somewhere in the middle, I picked up my camera, and I started shooting again.
