PROJECT: THE SWAMP - LIVING IN WASHINGTON D.C.
I spent the last three and a half years living in Washington, D.C. and as it is what is closest to me, photographing D.C. has always been my motive. The photos I took, I did my best to pick ones that encapsulated the mood of living in the District. I live just on the border of DC, where I am only a bike ride away from the Washington monument, and buildings where decisions are made for an entire country. However, over the Potomac River can feel like a whole different world.
I am a graduate of Georgetown University, where I received my Master’s of Journalism. I graduated from Denison University in Ohio, where I majored in English Literature, and developed a love of writing, photography, and journalism. I also spent over a year living in Beijing, China as an English teacher. Currently, I live in Arlington, Va, and work as a sports reporter for the Enterprise, photographing and writing about local sports.
